    Dear Friend,

I am Mr Jim I am a native of Idaho, Washington United State Of America, Carolyn my wife and I have decided to make sure this is put on the internet for the world to see as you could see from the web page sent to you in our first mail, I may not know you, but I believe if you receive my first email and respond back meaning you were chosen by God to receive my donation of [$2,000,000.00 US DOLLARS] you must be a God fearing individual, I am a Christian and I believe that Good things happens to good people like you who had the mind to respond back to my mail.

You see after taken care of the needs of our immediate family members, we decided to donate the remaining of the fund to other individuals around the world in need, the local fire department, the Red Cross, Haiti, hospitals and some other organizations in Asia and Europe that fight cancer, I would love to introduce my self more and also show you picture of me and my family but firstly I want to hear from you if my gift of [$2,000,000.00 US DOLLARS] is accepted by you before I proceed. 1. I just got this one too... Sad cuz with the video link showing their winning interview, it made it seem more legit somehow... So i wrote them a nice email....but the next email asked me to send them(copies?) of my Identity Cards, or Passport, or Driver's License. So they could "give it to their lawyer to have paperwork drawn" or something. I was about to write them and offer to come to the UK in PERSON since i would not give them those things through an email. Hah! Can u imagine? I'd show up and be like, You're not Jim McCuller! Hahahaha so glad i looked this up. Although it sure was fun spending all that money in my head! :-) the email said, they left the US after gunmen kept aggressively trying to get money from them, and that their son, Malcolm? had even been kidnapped for ransom.
      What a story.

    2. Here's a copy of the second email...

Thanks for your response, first, I have to thank you for your commitment to accept my gift and I assure you it’s a life time opportunity and 100% legitimate, the Two Million Dollars is going to pass through international laws and its 100% risk free. I have a lawyer taking care of the documentation required to perfect the Two Million Dollars for you, and you don't have anything to worry about that because I am the one responsible for it. I moved out of Idaho, Washington United State Of America in April due to high risk of gunmen asking us for money and we where advise to leave the country for a while which we did Mitchell my grandson was kidnap and I was ask to pay for him to be release which i did, we have to relocate to United Kingdom for a while and I am planning to come back to Idaho very soon. I must let you know that I am not getting any younger what i expect from you right now is trust and commitment because if you don't trust me you will find it difficult to accept my gift that is why you need to trust and believe me about this donation you are free to call me at anytime of the day +(44)703-1983-983. To facilitate the disbursement process of the TWO MILLION DOLLARS which have been donated solely to you, please send me any of your Identity Card, it’s my pleasure to know you more better before I ask you to contact my bank which will pay you the TWO MILLION DOLLARS in cash, I’ll be responsible for all the document fee about the  TWO MILLION DOLLARS which my lawyer need to carry out and you are the one who will be responsible about the Bank charges fee which is HSBC bank in the united kingdom. I will be waiting your urgent response with your Drivers licences, International Passport OR any of your valid Identity Card before I  will ask you to contact the HSBC BANK which is the payout bank. Best Regard,Jim McCullar.

And then my spectacular response... :-) lol

Hi again! Super excited to receive this amazing gift! A couple of things--- 1.) wanted to get the name of your lawyer and possibly the branch of HSBC you are working with, so i can do my own research as well... To of course, help this move along.2.) my passport is about expire in Feb, but i still have about a week to do some international travel... I figured since it's suuuuper sketchy to send copies of passports and or drivers id cards and stuf like that over the internet, (you just NEVER know...there's some major scammers out there, you never know who's looking...) to be safe, I'll hop on a plane and come visit the UK! I've never been! And since you want to get the pleasure of knowing me a little more as you stated, perhaps I can meet you in person over tea or you can host me in your home....only for a couple of days...to a week, depending on how long the paperwork takes. Oh yeah, I will most likely bring my lawyer/bodyguard, so there will need to be room for two. But if you don't have space available, i understand! We can surely stay in a nearby hotel. I know you are a humble Christian and don't like showy displays of wealth and therefore may not have a large home toaccomodate guests. How is your son, Malcolm, by the way? After being kidnapped and all? What an ordeal! The idea of gunmen is why i would bring my bodyguard lawyer. So, it's the best idea, right? Then i can give you a giant hug for your overwhelming generosity! How wonderful! Ok, what is your address and phone number so i can look you up when i get there. Thanks again!Sincerely, A W

This is simple internet crime, and I think, that if you continiu to respond the emails, they will ask you to send them USD 100 to cover the bank expenses before they can transfer the money to you. That will be USD 100 x many times! So just delete the emails you get from these kind of people. Regards Peter from Denmark.

      1. No native Idahoan has such shitty English (I know, hard to believe)
      2. No one in Idaho is generous to give away their entire lottery winnings.
      3. No one in the history of America has given away their lottery winnings - they spend them until they go bankrupt and sink back into white trash status.

Like the last person said anything that sounds too good is fishy especially when there are uk adresses involved. Mostly all institutions will not call you or email this type of funding to you. Other countries have no regulation in place for internet scamming. United States barely has regulations also. Just be careful and protect your info like it is your child because once your identity is stollen it is hard to protect it. I know becsuse someone stole mines and I have been fighting 15 yrs to keep it protected and. Sec of states. Affidsvits, police reports, social security administration! Sad to see people that did not win all the money they could ever need are now being scammed and the winners who are in bliss are having their names used for scams. I was even given a YouTube video to try and prove they were indeed the couple involved.

Content of the body of the e-mail I recieved below.

  36. Received the exact same email from "Jim McCullar" stating he was donating to me $2,000,000.00. What a joke. The first thing I did was google his name and here I am! I was just curious about the one guy that wrote him back, that he would come visit Jim in person with his own Lawyer/Bodyguard rather than give out personal Info in an email. But he never said if he ever got a reply back from the "Jim" email???? Probably not, is my guess?

I called the phone number +44 703 1983-938 as the email said to call anytime but I got a man not with an American accent but that of a man that sounded perhaps from India. I was told to proceed with the transaction with their elected lawyer Mr. Antonio Simoes assimoed13@yahoo.com and not to call their number anymore. 61. My wife received the McCullar email through her hotmail account (we live inj Australia) a couple of days ago. As my father taught us 'There's no such thing as a free lunch'. Obvious con but it could well catch out trusting people particularly elderly people who don't have a lot of experience of the internet and the scams that are just so prevalent these days. If these low-lifes can be tracked and found they deserve at least ten years in the clink.

  62. Just rec'd my email from the McCullars. So stupid to think that people would not check to see if this was a scam. Like someone said, what do they get out of it? Maybe there are enough desperate people in this country or where ever that actually fall for this and that makes it worth while for them. Special place in HELL for people like this.

  66. Just got one today. Helpful hint for all those that receive these types of emails. If you go into the origins of an email and can look up the ISP or IP of the email you received you will find out that these originate from somewhere other than the US. When I was online dating I got so many from Nigeria and South East Asia..here is what you do, find the IP address it will look like this in all the information you will see when you look at the origins of the email. (193.49.37.67) this is the one I actually got. Then go to some place on the net to look up IP addresses. It will initially look up yours, but just go and replace yours with the one you are investigating. Than it will tell you where it was from. By the way this is not a plug for this site, find anyone you want, but to try it go here: http://www.whatismyip.com/ip-address-lookup/?iref=cta
Now put in the IP address I listed above and you should see where it originated from. Mind you not every address from abroad is used to scam people, but chances are good especially when asking for information, offering money, job opportunity (unless you directly applied through reputable sources and can verify their actual existence as a company), dating correspondence and inheritance scams..there are so many more and variations on the ones I mentioned. So, this is pretty good for just about anything. Hope this helps..take care y'all..
